The beautiful Alisa Ince kindly agreed to take time out of her busy schedule to do our mini interview. Despite taking part in her first photo-shoot when she was a mere 6 months old the lovely Alisa has only really been modelling full time since the beginning of 2016.
1.When did you first realise you wanted to be a model?
This is actually a hard question because I have wanted to model even before I knew what modeling was. When I was a child, I’d always pose in front of a camera and strut around the house. Though the first time I said I wanted to be a model would have to be when I was around 10 years old. My cousin and I would dress up, put heels and make up on and take pictures around my house. I believe at that point I was like ” yeah I want to model”.
2.At what age did you first start modeling?
I did a photoshoot for a magazine in Germany when I was 6 months old and have done some small photoshoots along the way. However, I only really started modeling consistently this year (2016)
3.What was your first big break and how did it arise?
My first big break was modeling for an upcoming band named Just Be Cool. I heard from a friend that they were looking for some models and though I had not heard about the band before. I took a chance and it ended up being the start up of my modeling career.
4.What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?
My biggest achievement so far I would say would be taking chances. I hate going to auditions, they make me extremely nervous and I’ve been sucking it up and going to some because if I want to model this is what I’m going to have to do.
5.How do you like to stay fit?
I like to dance and work out.
6.What’s your favourite food?
I would say fruits but that may not be “food”, so then I would say cream pasta with chicken and salad.
7.Any advice for people wanting to start modeling?
To anyone that wants to start modeling I would tell them 1. Go for it 2. To be confident in themselves 3. Be someone people want to work with, if you have a good personality that can also get you far. No one wants to work with someone who has a bad personality, even if they can model really well and last but not least 4. Practice makes perfect, if you really want to model and you may not have the best walk, practice round the house, watch videos ( or Americas next top model). If it is something you really want to do, don’t give up.
8.What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
I was testing different make up looks on myself, Half of my face was one look and the other half was something completely different. I forgot I had to go out and I quickly put on clothes and left the house with two different sets of make up on my face.
9.What’s song best describes you?
This is a hard one but I would say Masterpiece by Jessie J.
10.What would you be if you weren’t a model?
If I weren’t a model, I would be a dancer. I love all types of dance especially hip hop and contemporary dance. I was in a dance company and a hip hop group in high school in New York and I absolutely loved it.
11.Tell me something about you not many people know?
Not a lot of people know that I was raised by a single parent, I live with just my mom and sister
12.What do you like doing in your free time?
In my free time I like to do nails, draw, practice doing make up, sing and going out.
13.What do you think is the most interesting thing about you?
The most interesting thing about me is I am British, German and Bajan.
14.What was your nickname at school?
My most popular nick name in school was Ali ( which most people call me today) and some people also called me Alicat.
15.What three things do you need to be successful in this industry?
In my opinion, Three things I need to be successful in the modeling industry would be confidence, drive and knowing the right people.
