1.When did you first realize you wanted to be a model?
I didn’t. Modeling wasn’t something that happened to me. I happened to modeling. I became a professional model as a teenager, all because other people kept telling that I’d be great at it. It was my destiny, and I followed through with it.
2.At what age did you first start modeling ?
I was 18 years old. I was a freshman in college when I was able to make a modeling my main focus.
3.What was your first big break and how did it arise?
I probably got my first real big break my sophomore year in college, when I was given the opportunity to model for Pittsburgh Fashion Week. When a model gets a contract like that, it pretty much makes the rest of their career.
4.What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?
Modeling for New York Fashion Week, being on ESPN and modeling for Matrix Hair Care.
5. How do you like to stay fit?
I’m a vegetarian, so there isn’t any meat in my diet. I also don’t drink milk, or have much dairy intake. As for workouts, I love core training, and cardio. It keeps the body lean and strong.
6.What’s your favorite food?
I love eggs, and I’m Italian, so anything with tomatoes is pretty fantastic.
7.Any advice for people wanting to start modeling?
Work on portfolio first. Book some shoots for free first, and compile a lovely portfolio. Then head over to an agency. Even if you don’t get signed right away, the agency will at least advice you on what to improve on before you take a step into the professional industry.
8.What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
I got lost in Caesar’s Palace in Los Vegas. And for anyone who’s been there, knows that it’s easy to do. So I ended up wandering around the Palace until I figured out where I needed to be.
9.What song best describes you?
The Greatest by Sia
10.What would you be if you weren’t a model?
Well, I’m also a writer, a producer, a dancer, an artistic director, a designer and a brand rep. Modeling is just the cherry on top of the sundae.
11.Tell me something about you not many people know?
I used to be germaphobic. I still am a little bit.
12.What do you like doing in your free time?
I like taking photos, reading, working out, cooking, traveling, learning something new.
13.What do you think is the most interesting thing about you?
I have an identical twin sister.
14.What was your nickname at school?
My nickname was ‘Miss Independent.’
15.What three things do you need to be successful in this industry?
The 3 things you need to be successful in the modeling industry go as followed:
Perseverance: Develop an unwillingness to give up. Success takes time. It does happen over night, so persevere.
Eagerness: A model’s ability to succeed has a lot to do with their ability to WANT to do well. If you are passionate about modeling, it will come far naturally to you than it will to others who aren’t as passionate. Stay hungry and eager.
Be Professional: In the modeling industry, you are going to be working for and with very big businesses and clients. You need to dress to impress and show up for every meeting and make a good impression. Your work isn’t just about you. Your work is about the company you will be modeling for and the agency you are representing. Your image has the potential of being the face for many brands and companies. The more professional you are, the more likely they are to sign you.
